Letters To An Alcoholic Of Encouragement

Cavalleria Rusticana / I Pagliacci - Hamburg State Opera Eugen Onegin

© Sarah-Maria
Walter, Walter, Walter Meier hach! I was out of sheer luck so many times before that in the short rail of the orchestra pit to bite because they added my second home, the Hamburg State Opera, paid a visit and sang Santuzza. Since then I Dümpel not just somewhere in other spheres (according to experience this state lasts as about one to two weeks), but also eggs around looking for a suitable description for your vote. In addition to several songs of praise with a tendency to religious, I have tried myself and in the increase of superlatives, but all rejected, and if I do not the rest of the week, month, year, or who knows how long and still want to spend, but I have to this experiment probably draw a line and slow times hit me give simple ... .. One should, however, despite the inherent fatalistic Kitsch said: Everyone should have heard Mrs. Meier in life live. Because, believe me, it sounds even better live than on CD.

Really, really bad is that "Cavalleria Rusticana" only 70 minutes long, and Waltraud Meier therefore after the break and in the second opera "I Pagliacci" is no longer occurred is. This second half is to be honest I also got through just now and then. Anyway, it does me for all other performers of the evening so sorry but I hardly left ear for she had. And I hope - not only in view of politeness - that there's other different was that on the name (Andrzej Dobber, Carl Tanner, Andrew Richards) would otherwise be quite a waste of money the opera box office was. But as I said, love me just stop at Walter always so ready, that I stand completely by my side. When I saw her as Isolde in Berlin, I was then prevented only by a firm handle on my Schlafittchen mind freely run over by a car to be.

Well, the bitter end of each of their songs as always a radical diet for my balance as I am now a few times in the presentation MUST go. As often as well just decide solely my self-discipline - the I, however, at this point not a lot of confidence. And there will soon yes even the two ring-cycles in Hamburg. God, how I should only bring everything under one roof!

Cultural Festival Names

- Hamburg State Opera

© Sarah-Maria
Hach was nice .... So, now was not soooo surprise, because with Tchaikovsky can make me so very happy idiot proof. Best of all: these composers bonus was not even needed: okay, the staging (by Adolf Dresen) had its birth, my before and was not now THE big hit of the evening. But there were some very nice pictures and stage director as well as my Frabgeschmack have taken quite well. In addition, it was pretty cheesy: there was snow, fog, sunrises, night skies, and charming as a little icing on the cake had the party guests of the second act on the way home, her umbrella vorkramen to bursting with a non-degree prissy downpour. Real annoyed but the long pauses after each have - really anyone - image.

Musically, that's have a real highlight and the highlights are almost given the handle in the hand: I forgot completely I thank Tamar Iveri as Tatiana, who has sung to me in the thoughtful sentimental passages in the letter scene, the tears in his eyes, to place in the final scene, go one better and give me her emotionally intelligent Interpretaion the rest! Jut that the ending is beautiful for words, now is indeed nothing new, but it has such a beautiful soprano: clear, totally unbelievable in the high places. Lauri Vasar in turn has as Eugene Onegin me to be honest at first a little disturbed, because he simply did not fit into the role of outside and I also reported of less "serious" games and know that somehow associate. But with voice and expression one can of course true some make up again, and he really has! I was really looking forward to Dovlet Nurgeldiyev as Lenski (until last year he was a member of the International Opera Studio and experience in smaller roles). At the beginning I've been thinking: Hmm, well now but not outstanding - he also came to me somehow a bit lampenfiebrig before. But "Kuda, kuda, ...." He has sung simply brilliant! The two men have been completely in the shade but Gremin Tsymbalyuk Alexander as Prince! You can sing! I did some time ago in Berlin René Pape seen in the role, which I pulled out the real shoes. But what the Lord has delivered Tsymbalyuk there yesterday, had to before not hide! ! Conducted On the contrary

has Bamberg Symphonic Orchestra - which made me especially happy because I have not heard an eternity! Fully versiebt's, however the chorus! Without teamwork, no reasonable sound. Rather, it can be said not to do so. Too bad it was, because the chorus scenes but actually are soooo beautiful ... ..

2nd Birthday Invitation Sayings

Johann Sebastian Bach, the old coffee aunt!

© Sarah-Maria
Not only me, but Bach was the coffee fallen through and through. However, the good stuff was still very expensive and you drank coffee no bucket at home, but in a cafe. Bach went so several times a week at the Leipzig Zimmermansche cafe. There was his "Coffee Cantata" in 1732 also (probably) premiered.

The fact that his cantatas in the rule of God-devoted homage and if this was not the case at least the authorities can not close only the usual tricks, but also suggest how hot it was on the brew ... ..

The text is from Bach's master poet Picander (= pseudonym. His real name , Christian Friedrich Henrici) and continues to play a little drama: a father, Mr. routine, wants to ban his daughter, Liesgen, drinking coffee. But she is being stubborn. Only when the father promises her that she must marry in return, she agrees, distributed but in her heart the message that she will only marry a man she not pure babbles in their drinking habits:

egg! how the coffee tastes,
Lovely tastes than a thousand kisses, Milder than
Muscat wine.
Coffee, coffee I must have
And if someone wants to refresh me, gives
Oh, so me a Coffee!

In this sense I wish all good thirst! :)

How To Reupholster Boat Seating

Don Giovanni - Goethe Theater Bremen

© Sarah- Maria is
Two performances there this season - that is pure skin! :) Because it is really worth! The staging (Andrea Moses) is anything but set up weird, but really funny. In addition, the costumes of the hit: most notably that of Don Giovanni he makes to his name and runs around in the last Gigolo clothes. Last, even with floor length fur coat.

The action takes place in a hotel, in which the characters constantly on the road. can run and do the same. Don Giovanni wobbles ever deeper into all of his loves and loses not only track but also the infamous threads in his hands. It is threatened and raged in every scene somehow you feel that finally in the next second, the mood shifts and breaks out a solid mass brawl. Comedy and Tragigk lie, as so often close together. In such a production you realize again how much of a good ensemble is worth - because it is a bit of acting talent and a lot about "play together" in demand.

But musically, the evening was worth it! Really blew me Nadja Stefanoff has as Donna Elvira. What a voice! But their account of the evening was worth it! Juan Orozco has the Don Giovanni sung well, but in particular the role fits like hand in glove. In terms of enthusiasm it was his servant Leporello - Wilhelm Schwinghammer - according to nix and I liked her voice better. And to mention, in any case is Randall Bills as Don Ottavio! In the orchestra pit was musical director Mark Poschner and missed the evening the necessary spice: delicate at the same time and conduct with a lot of pep, he obviously has it!

As I said, there are two performances this season:
24th February and 20 March

PS: The cracker is simply Leporello aria!

Jayne Mansfield Radar

NEWS

Now she is here! The Documentation DVD SOUND SPORT. Then the long-awaited 30-minute film is included SOUND SPORT, words of composers, background to the production, profiles of the SOUND ATHLETES and even the radio feature "Symphony in sneakers. The invention of the SOUND SPORT's.

I also am concerned with the issue of development. After starting out and the world premiere of the first SOUND SPORT Revue in April 2009, much has changed.
The host games in Dortmund and Frankfurt Hachen were a first success, which has uncovered much new potential. Therefore opens up the question of what will happen in future with the SOUND SPORT idea?

thought 1
is a particularly personal issue for me, the professionalization of musical and sporting links. New to chime with new musicians, with other athletes created inside.

thought two
Together with the Sports Youth Sports Federation of North Rhine-Westphalia is considering an open SOUND sports in sports clubs. Similarly, training opportunities for JL / OL and the implementation of the open full day planned. The TG Münster eV celebrates next year its 150th anniversary. We hope we can until then continue the cooperation.

thought three
expansion the educational offer: application in sports and music lessons in schools and other educational areas. This should include exercises and sound modules for teachers and other educational staff and verschriftlicht be available.

thought 4
establishing a solid SOUND SPORT Orchestra. That would be great!

thought five
archiving of sound building blocks for further use in all areas.

thought six
elaborating further stage programs and acquisition of performances

There is much to do. Let's do it.

Sincerely,

Marina Sahnwaldt
